I created this WordPress page as an example for students in a course I teach at the University of Kentucky in Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Media. Their assignment is to conduct primary and secondary research about an “under-known” person, place, object or event in Kentucky and create a “web-text” that interprets and shares their research. This page draws upon my longstanding interest in the legend of “Chief Paduke,” the reputed namesake of my hometown, Paducah, Kentucky. It fulfills the parameters of the assignment, with one exception: it does not include a personal interview.
